Lonpos is a puzzle video game by Genki for the Wii, based on the logic puzzle of the same name. Released via WiiWare, it costs 800 Wii Points (1000 in Japan), with additional downloadable content costing 500 Points for each pack consisting of 25 puzzles and a new visual theme.[1]

Gameplay

The object of the game is to fit a fixed number of beaded puzzle pieces of various shapes, called pentominoes, into the remaining empty spaces on a rectangular game board. The game features a number of puzzles of increasing difficulty, and co-operative and competitive multiplayer.[2]

The game features two control schemes; one that uses the directional pad to move an onscreen cursor, while the other uses the Wii Remote's pointer function, with the player twisting the Remote to rotate the pentominoes.

Reception

WiiWare World called Lonpos an addictive and a faithful rendition of the original game, but also says it does little to make it stand out from other WiiWare puzzle games, giving it 6/10.[3] Wired and IGN were also disappointed by the high purchase price of the game, which totals to 5300 Wii Points (5500 in Japan) if all additional content is purchased, as well as the lack of widescreen support and clunky controls.[2][4]
